This review is on the 1/48 scale, Revell of Germany, Memphis Belle. The Memphis Belle is easily the most famous B-17 Flying Fortress ever built. Flown by Captain Robert Morgan, it was the very first B-17 in the Eighth Air Force to survive 25 missions. It has inspired two movies, which are the 1944 documentary, Memphis Belle: A Story of a Flying Fortress, and the 1990 movie Memphis Belle. The plane itself is now under restoration at Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton Ohio. The model is A great addition to anyones collection. It's instructions are not the best, but they are good enough to follow at a slow pace. It does not have as much interior as the B-17G model for those of you who love detail. It is a skill level 5 but the only real challenge is the painting as it requires a distinct camouflage pattern. It is a little pricey too. It costs around $35 when the B-17G costs about $25. I personally would All in all it is a great model which I would give a 4 of a possible 5 stars. 

B-29 Superfortress

This review is on the Revell 1/48 scale B-29 Superfortress. It has a wingspan of 35 inches, a length of 24 inches, and has over 105 parts including a five man ground crew and pieces to build the two atomic bombs dropped on Japan. (The bombs are not mentioned in the instructions, but trust me they're included). And it is HEAVY. It weighs about 2 lb. It is a fairly easy build it took me two days, but can take a longer or shorter time depending on how well you want the quality. It also has two marking options for one plane that served in the Korean War, and the another served in World War II. One is "Cream of the Crop" (Korea) and the other is "Humpin' Honey" (WWII). I chose to customize mine as the "Enola Gay". (See Lower Photo) Since the plane is so big and heavy, it needs a stand is needed in the rear to support it. The stand included in the kit snaps really easily so I put a custom one on my plane. The propellors spin better than any other model I own. It takes up a TON of space, so be sure you have enough space for it before you buy it. All in all it is a great model and a fun build. I give it a 4 out of 5 star rating. Well that's all for now.

Hi everyone! You may have noticed I'm really behind on posting reviews, so I've got some good news and some bad news. The bad news is with school and all, I'm going to have to give up the once a month policy. Instead I'll just put up posts whenever I can and will post a link on Google+ so you won't be left totally in the dark. The good news is you decide what the next review's topic is! Revell B-52B with X-15

I was busy all December and I couldn't get around to posting anything. So this is December's review I'll have another one out soon for January. This  review is on the Monogram 1/72 scale B-52B Stratofortress with X-15 experimental plane. It is 25 inches long with a wingspan of 31 inches and 161 parts to work with. It is really big so I wouldn't recommend buying unless you have the space. I bought mine without checking first and didn't have a space large enough and ending up hanging mine on the ceiling. It is a fairly easy build, but a really rewarding result. In conclusion I rate this 4 out of five stars.

My new blog

Hi everyone! My name is Corey Ramlet author and publisher of "Heavy Bombers of World War II." As of late I have decided that I will now be publishing a new blog for review's of ALL types of planes not just bombers of World War II. Starting December, I will now be posting on this blog INSTEAD of the other one. However I will post a little something on there every once in a while for you loyalists who like the other one better.
